A delightful riverside retreat

Our stay at Thongbay Guesthouse was nothing short of magical! The riverside bungalows provided a serene atmosphere, and waking up to breakfast served on our private balcony was a treat. The grounds were lush and beautiful, perfect for leisurely strolls, and the complimentary shuttle to the town center made exploring Luang Prabang a breeze. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. Their hospitality left a lasting impression.

The peacefulness of the guesthouse is wonderful, but it does mean you're a bit farther from the livelier areas of town. Some noise from nearby establishments can occasionally seep in, though it didn’t overshadow the charm of the location. A more frequent shuttle service midday might enhance guest convenience.

garden surrounding Thongbay, providing a tranquil setting. The bungalows were comfortable, and the breakfast service on the private balcony was a treat. However, the slightly thin walls did lead to occasional noise interruptions, which detracted a bit from the peace.

However, the distance from the town center made late-night returns inconvenient, and the noise from nearby activities was disruptive during certain hours. Overall, this place is perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat.

We had a lovely stay with breakfast served right on our balcony, which had an awesome view of the river. The outdoor garden area was super relaxing, and we really enjoyed some massages during our downtime too. The only small downside was that we wished there was a middle-of-the-day shuttle, but it definitely didn’t ruin our experience! 🌺

We experienced some noise from nearby activities, and although the terrain can be a bit uneven, it adds to the charm of the surroundings.
